MemCell - Classic was developed to carry out laboratory tests with minimal effort. The field of activity includes membrane screening, cleaning tests, trouble shooting and quality assurance.
The hydraulic properties of the flat module are based on those of the winding element. This allows knowledge gained from laboratory tests to be transferred to pilot scale. The flat cell of the plant is equipped with a 44 mil spacer. A permeable sintered plate is attached to the permeate side, which has similar properties to the permeate spacer of a winding element and enables optimum, uniform permeate drainage. This allows a safe scale-up, especially with regard to the quality of the separation.
On request, we manufacture the MemCell Classic with several cells in series, whereby several cells can be tested simultaneously
Our Automatic-MemCell has proven itself over years in various governmental and private research institutions and laboratories worldwide to perform membrane experiments with minimal technical effort. Nevertheless, we are constantly optimizing the plant and equipping it with the latest measurement and control technology.
By automating the plant it is possible to obtain reliable and reproducible test results. To ensure user-friendly operation, we have equipped the plant with a comprehensive control system and remote access (via local network). In addition, all analogue values can be recorded and read out by means of integrated data acquisition.
The plant was originally designed as a flat channel cell. In order to be able to test a wider range of tasks, a pressure pipe for winding elements (type 1812) or a pressure pipe for mono-channel ceramic elements can be used as an option to the flat channel cell.
